Overview
At BateriLaju, we stand behind every battery we sell and install. This policy explains your rights and options in the event of a defective product, an incorrect supply, or any other issue arising from your purchase with us.
Because our technicians deliver and install your battery on-site, this policy is structured around warranty replacements rather than traditional store returns. Please read this page carefully so you know exactly what is covered and how to reach us if you need assistance.
Warranty Coverage by Brand
Each battery brand we carry comes with its own warranty period and kilometre limit, whichever is reached first.

| Amaron | Up to 12 months | Up to 35,000 km |

| Eurosun | Up to 12 months | Up to 25,000 km |
| Varta | Subject to model | Subject to model |
What the Warranty Covers
Your warranty entitles you to a free replacement battery (of the same or equivalent model) if your battery fails due to:
- Manufacturing defects — including internal short circuit, plate failure, or cell defects
- Premature capacity loss not caused by external factors (battery no longer holds charge under normal driving conditions)
- Cracked or leaking casing arising from a manufacturing fault, not physical damage
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The following situations are not covered under the warranty:
- Physical damage caused by accidents, improper handling, or road impact
- Damage caused by incorrect installation by a third party (not our technician)
- Battery failure due to a faulty vehicle charging system (e.g. defective alternator)
- Deep discharge resulting from leaving vehicle lights or accessories on for extended periods
- Damage caused by flooding, fire, or natural disasters
- Modification or tampering of the battery by anyone other than BateriLaju technicians
- Normal wear and tear over time
- Claims made after the warranty period or kilometre limit has expired (whichever comes first)
- Loss of the original receipt or proof of purchase — please keep this safe
How to Make a Warranty Claim
Making a warranty claim is straightforward. Follow these steps:
-
Contact Us
Call +603-2022 5555 or WhatsApp us. Tell us your name, the date of purchase, the battery brand and model, and describe the issue you are experiencing.
-
Prepare Your Proof of Purchase
Have your receipt ready. We will verify your purchase date and battery model to confirm your warranty status.
-
Technician Assessment
We will arrange for a technician to assess the battery at your location or at our nearest branch. Assessment is carried out at no charge during the warranty period.
-
Replacement
If the defect is confirmed to be a manufacturing fault and falls within the warranty period, we will replace the battery at no cost to you — including free installation.
Wrong or Incompatible Battery Supplied
If our technician installs a battery that is incorrect for your vehicle model — meaning it does not match the specifications confirmed at the time of order — we will:
- Replace it with the correct battery at no additional cost
- Cover all labour and transportation for the rectification visit
Exchange Policy
Before installation:
If you have paid for a battery but installation has not yet taken place, you may request to
exchange it for a different brand or model. Please contact us before the technician arrives.
Any price difference will be charged or refunded accordingly.
After installation:
Once a battery has been installed in your vehicle, exchanges for change-of-mind reasons are
not accepted. Our technicians confirm the correct battery specifications with you before
installation — please raise any concerns before they proceed.
Refund Policy
We do not offer cash refunds for installed batteries except in the following circumstances:
- We are unable to fulfil your order — if we cannot supply the battery you paid for and no suitable alternative is available, a full refund will be issued within 7 working days via your original payment method.
- Overcharge or billing error — if you were charged an amount different from the agreed price, the difference will be refunded promptly upon verification.
For all other situations, warranty claims are resolved through battery replacement, not refunds.
Old Battery Trade-In
As part of our commitment to responsible disposal, we accept your old car battery as a trade-in when we install your new one. This service is:
- Available at no additional charge
- Carried out by our technician at the time of installation
- Subject to the technician's ability to safely remove and transport the old battery
We handle the disposal of old batteries in accordance with environmental regulations. If you wish to keep your old battery, please let us know before the technician begins work.
Consumer Rights Under Malaysian Law
This policy is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Malaysia). You are entitled to products that are of acceptable quality, fit for their described purpose, and match their description.
If you believe your rights under Malaysian consumer protection law have not been met, you may contact the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (TTPM) at www.ttpm.kpdnhep.gov.my.
